THE INSTALL · STEP BY STEP
Six easy steps to a gorgeous room.
01
WALL PREPPrep the wall
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry fully. Patch any holes. If the wall was painted recently, wait 4 weeks for full cure before applying — peel-and-stick won't bond properly to fresh paint.
Studio Tip
Dust prevents the adhesive from doing it's thing - dust those baseboards for best results.
02
MARK YOUR FIRST PANELMeasure & mark a guide
Use a level to draw a faint vertical pencil line where your first panel will go. This line is everything — get it dead-straight and the rest of the wall falls into place.
Studio Tip
Don't trust the ceiling itself — they're rarely level.
03
Line up and stick your first piecePosition the first piece
Peel the top few inches of backing. Align the top edge with your guide line, smooth from the center outward with the scraper tool.
Studio Tip
Two-person panels: one holds the bottom away from the wall while the other smooths from the top.
04
securely stick to the wallWork down the wall
Continue peeling backing a few inches at a time, smoothing as you go. Push air bubbles toward the nearest edge with the squeegee. If you trap a stubborn bubble, prick it with a pin and smooth.
Studio Tip
Air bubbles are normal and sometimes appear after installation. Every home and wall has unique bends, holes, shapes and air circulation that can cause this with peel & stick over time.
05
Line up your next panelMatch seams
Place the next panel directly against the first. Our patterns are printed for matching, so the second panel should slot right into the first. Take your time here.
Studio Tip
Zero gaps here is key so the patterns flow seamlessly. Literally :)
06
FINISHIHNG DETAILS MAKE FOR THE PERFECT TOUCHTrim & finish
At the ceiling, baseboard, and outlets, press the wallpaper into the corner and trim with a fresh blade running along the edges. A dull blade tears — keep extras handy.
Studio Tip
Use leftovers to cover outlets and light switches!
