Hang it on the front door to welcome guests home for the holidays, or tie it to a wreath, the back of a dining chair before a long supper, or the end of a crib in a nursery waiting for someone small.
It's loops are soft and plump, full enough to hold their shape, and its long tails fall the way ribbon does in old photographs. A hidden loop at the back lets it hang from a hook, a nail, or a weathered porch post, wherever a little ceremony belongs. In linen-cotton that softens over the years, it's made to come out every season and be loved a little more each time.
